The Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, has demanded a special security status for the state in line with its peculiarity as a gateway to many parts of the country, saying that the state should be given preferential treatment, in terms of security arrangements from the Federal Government.

He made the demand in Abeokuta, the state capital, while hosting the new Commissioner of Police, Abdulmajid Ali, and the management team of the Ogun State Police Command.
