PDP lawmakers warn APC leadership in Senate, House of Reps

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmakers in the House of Representatives have warned the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership in the National Assembly against postponement of the July 28 resumption date.

Addressing a news conference after a caucus meeting in the House of Representatives, the Spokesman of the PDP caucus, Leo Ogor, said that the National Assembly was scheduled to resume on Tuesday July 21 but the resumption date was postponed to July 28 because of the internal crisis among APC lawmakers in the Senate and House of Representatives.

He advised the APC to put its house in order and end the face off in the parliament.

The camp of the speaker is still insisting that the principle of federal character be implemented in the choice of the remaining principal officers in the House but the other camp is accusing the Speaker of hypocrisy.

The PDP lawmakers also said that they were dismayed by the arrest of the former President Jonathan’s Chief Security Officer, Gordon Obua.

Representative Leo Ogor further said that the PDP lawmakers in the House of Representatives were equally disappointed with President Buhari for not going to the U.S with any federal lawmaker, bearing in mind that the president was scheduled to visit the U.S Congress. (Channels TV)
