. . . Ngige, Muoghalu’s names conspicuously missing

Imo State, Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, has been picked to spearhead the campaign of Senator Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the November 6 governorship election in Anambra State.

Others in the campaign train serving ministers, current and former governors of the party, as well as senators and other APC heavyweights.

Though the leader of the party in the state and Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, was not included in the list, that of the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) Abubakar Malami was included.

Also not mentioned in the list is a prominent member of the party, George Muoghalu, the Director General of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), one of the aggrieved governorship aspirants that called for the cancellation of the primary that saw the emergence of Senator Andy Uba as the party’s flag bearer.

Ngige also called for cancellation of the primary election, insisting that election did not take place in any of the 21 local government areas of the state. Efforts to pacify him with the nomination of his first cousin, Bar Emeka Okafor as Uba’s running mate could not also hold water as the minister remained adamant.
