NSCDC boss felicitates with Muslim faithful

The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Dr. Ade Abolurin has hailed Muslim faithful for successful fasting and Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

He made this known during the Ramadan lecture organised by personnel at the NSCDC mosque.

He stressed that, the period of fasting and praying, should be seen as a time of reconciliation with Allah for forgiveness of sins, alms giving and interceding for peace and development in the nation.

Abolurin re-echoed that what the nation needs at the moment is prayer in order to tackle the security situation and for God to give wisdom to the leadership of the nation in handling the challenges.

He advised faithful to live an exemplary life tailored to the teachings of the Prophet whom is the pillar of Islam.

In the same vein, he has directed Corps formations across the nation to carry out adequate deployment of personnel to all nooks and crannies for effective coverage of the environment to guarantee a hitch-free celebration.

In addition to the deployment of personnel, he charged the Commandants to deploy all other equipment such as surveillance vehicles, patrol vehicles, ambulances, dogs and other monitoring gadgets

According to him, the areas to be covered includes, praying ground, supermarkets, markets, all critical infrastructure installations, black spots and other identified spots that are prone to attacks and vandalism.

While urging personnel to be civil and diplomatic in their approach towards members of the public, he also cautioned parents to warn their wards to desist from acts capable of breaching the peace of the nation as the law is no respecter of any one.
