The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has directed that, with effect from August 1, 2015, all transactions consummated by any licensed Bureaux de Change (BDC) operator in the country must have the Bank Verification Number (BVN) of customers.
A circular issued yesterday in Abuja by the CBN said that the move is aimed “to ensure greater transparency in the transactions of licensed.”
