The Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) chapter of the Association of Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has called of the strike it declared on Monday. The news was broken yesterday after a meeting held at 250 Lecture Theatre of the institution in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
The examinations scheduled for Monday had to be put off over the strike occasioned by 13-month unpaid allowances.
News Express learnt that the examinations have been rescheduled to start next Monday, July 20. The exam time-table committee members are said to have been working round the clock to adjust the days disrupted.
A source told News Express that the Senate of the institution would however be holding an emergency meeting today “to discuss the possible outcome of the meeting with the governors of Oyo and Osun states, including other relevant issues that could affect the progress of the institution.”
