BREAKING NEWS: Buhari sacks Service Chiefs, National Security Adviser

President Muhammadu Buhari today wielded the big stick, relieving the Service Chiefs and National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki, (retd.), of their duties.

All the Service Chiefs are affected, namely, Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshall Alex Badeh, Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Usman Jibrin; Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-General Kenneth Minimah; and Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshall Adesola Amosu.

The dismissal of the security chiefs is not unconnected with the worsening Boko Haram terrorism since Buhari, who vowed to tame the monster, was sworn-in on May 29.
