Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel yesterday administered the oath of office to 20 commissioners and two special advisers, urging them to consider their appointments as a call to service.

The Commissioners who took their oath of office are: Barrister Uwemedimo Thomas Nwoko, Mr. Akan Okon, Dr. Matthew Nathan Ekaette, Mr. Ephraim Akparawa Inyang, Prince Godwin Ntukude, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Aniekan Simon Akpan, Dr. Dominic Ukpong, Rt. Hon. Uwem Ita Etuk, Mr. Enobong Emmanuel Uwah, Dr. Iniobong Ene Essien, Mr. Aniekan John Umanah, Rt. Hon. Victor Etim Antai, Barrister Emmanuel Moses Enoidem, Rt. Hon. (Barrister) Ekong Sampson, Dr. Emmanuel Ating Onwioduokit, Dr. (Mrs.) Elizabeth Donald Obot, Otuekong Emmanuel Udo Ibiok, Dr. Glory Emmanuel Edet, Sir Monday Ebong Uko and Engr. Etido Inyang.

The Special Advisers who also took their oath of office are: Mr. Enyinna Ekpenyong and Rt. Hon. Anietie Sunday Etuk.

Meanwhile, Governor Emmanuel has also approved the appointments of Dr. Elijah Akpan as the Chairman of Akwa Ibom Investment Corporation (AKICORP), Dr. (Mrs.) Marjorie George Abasiodiong (JP) as the Senior Special Assistant, Skills Development Center Projects and the immediate past Chief Press Secretary, Pastor Anietie Ukpe as the Director General of the State owned Broadcasting Corporation (AKBC) radio and television.
