Glamorous actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde
The first African celebrity to receive over 1 million likes on her Facebook page, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde’s experience with COVID-19 has been produced as movie.
The glamorous actress, singer and former model, along with her children caught the virus in Sept 2020 but recovered weeks after treatment.
That bitter experience is now in a movie titled, "Lockdown" with Omotola playing Dr. Njoku.
Lockdown is star studded. It parades Omotola Ekeinde together with Sola Sobowale, Jidekene Achufusi, Ben Touitoui, Chioma Akpotha, Tony Umez, Josh Alfred “Josh2funny”, Inidima Okojie, Oluwabamike Olawumi “BamBam” and many more.
The flick is directed by Moses Inwang, co-produced by FilmOne Entertainment, Sneeze Films, Michael Djaba, iFactory Live and CEM Media group.
“A lockdown is coming and it’s nothing like you’ve ever experienced before!” Inwang said.
“Lockdown is a captivating piece that focuses on different people from different walks of life who coincidentally find themselves locked in a hospital indefinitely because of the potential spread of a virus. They battle a series of emotions — anger, impatience, hurt, anxiety — all the while hoping for a means of escape,” Omotola recapped.
The movie can be described as a brilliant fusion of humour and sobriety and will hit the cinemas in Nigeria on Friday, May 28, 2021.
