The man behind the party that has sent the prime movers of the emergent mega opposition party, All Progressives Congress (APC), back to the drawing board has finally been unveiled.

He is little known Chief (Hon.) Onyinye. M  ikeagwuonu (JP), Protem National Chairman of APC (African People’s Congress).

The African Progressive Congress (APC) had been dismissed as a phantom by mega party chieftains after the country’s electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) last week ruled out the chances of registering the mega party as APC, disclosing that another set of politicians had earlier applied for registration under the same APC acronym. 

However, the faces behind the hitherto unknown APC were made public late this morning at the Public Unveiling and Commissioning of Party Secretariat held at the party’s headquarters located at LEADERSHIP House, Plot 983 Ahmadu Bello Way Opposite Apo Quarters, Garki Abuja.

The event was addressed by Chief Ikeagwuonu, who delivered a speech entitled “Breaking the Axis of Evil.”
In the speech, Ikeagwuonu spat fire, lambasting the country’s major political parties, including the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for having failed Nigerians.

“For over a decade now, Nigerians have entrusted their political fortunes largely in the hands of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), All Nigerian People’s Party (ANPP), Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and other politicians who have shown a resounding emptiness of character, clearly unfit for any kind of leadership,” he roared.

The APC chief spoke of his party’s determination to capture power and use it for the common good. (News Express shall publish his full speech this evening.)

With the turn of events, the emergent mega which also goes by the acronym APC party will have no alternative than to choose a new name.
