BREAKING: Governor Ayade dumps PDP for APC

Ayade being cheered by some APC governors after his defection to the ruling party today, May 20

Cross Rivers State Governor Ben Ayade has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

"Governor Ayade announced his decision on Thursday morning after a closed-door meeting with six APC governors and members of the National Assembly who visited him at the Government House," says a Channels Television news report around noon on Thyrsday, May 20, 2021.

It noted that the governors who visited Ayade include those of Kebbi, Imo, Yobe, Plateau, Jigawa, and Ekiti states.
