The self-acclaimed Area Fada, Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa popularly known as Charly Boy recently travelled to his village in Imo State to solicit for special prayers from his village elders.

The 71 years old highlife musician and former president of the Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN), was seen in a video clip on the social media in which he humbly knelt down while elders of the village offered prayers with kolanuts and native drinks.

After the prayer session, His Royal Punkness got up and all he said to his fans on Instagram was:

“I don go receive blessings from the elders. May God bless your hustle this week. Have a great week ahead.”

Though he did not disclose why he needed prayers from his native elders that much, some close watchers are of the opinion that it may not be unconnected with his yet to be named project with Don Jazzy.
