. . . Emeka Ike reacts

Some days ago, screen diva Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde posted a video on the social media in which veteran actor Emeka Ike asked the question:

“Do you miss me?”

That question spurred his teeming fans into action with series of comments asking the 54 years old Imo State-born super-talented actor, producer, director and investor to return to the screen.

To buttress their demand to the Mechanical Engineering graduate from Yaba College of Technology who has stayed of screen for some time now, the fans have come up with the hashtag #bringbackemekaike.

Some of the fans recalled how their knowledge of Nollywood was not complete without Emeka Ike when they were growing up.

Others were marvelled at the youthful looks of Emeka. Yet some ladies among them openly confessed that the former President of the Actors

Guild of Nigeria (AGN) had been their crush right from the beginning.

Maggie’s Blog reached out to the star actor Thursday evening for his reaction to the demand by his fans to return to the screen.

He assured his teeming fans that he is fully back. He said he decided to stage a comeback to Nollywood to show his love and appreciation to his fans.

“I’m back at NOLLYWOOD TV on TSTV. I am back on location at the request of my fans. Sunny Okim, please tell them that I love my fans,” he enthused.
