Popular actor, producer and director, Emeka Enyiocha
Popular actor, producer and director, Chukwuemeka Michael Enyiocha, has debunked what he calls the tale-tales about Warri, a town in Delta State, by some Lagos based stand-up comedians.
The 49 years old Umuahia, Abia State-born Theatre Arts graduate from Lagos State University is currently in Warri for a movie shoot.
The actor who is rated as one of the riches and most influential in Nollywood, while recounting his experience in Warri said, contrary to the picture of the town as painted by the Warri-born comedians, Warri is a cool place to be.
“I’m in Warri town right now shooting a movie with my cast and crew. We’ve been here for some days now. Please don’t listen to all those tales by the so-called Warri-born comedians in Lagos
“They’ll say Warri this, Warri that. They will say if you enter Warri you’ll disappear. All those tales are not true. Agreed, man must hustle. If you push me I push you back, but that doesn’t mean Warri people are bad.
“Those comedians don't know jack about Warri notwithstanding they were born in Warri. But how many of them really know Warri? They are in Lagos making up tales about Warri. Warri is a safe place,” narrated the father of three in a video clip he posted on his Instagram page on Wednesday.
