Army demolishes POLITICIAN’S HOUSE USED AS BOMB FACTORY (Guilty politician named and shamed)

The Nigerian Army has raided and subsequently demolished the house of a suspected terrorist – an Abuja-based politician who contested for the chairmanship position in Dei Dei, Kaduna State, under the platform of the All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP).

Addressing a press conference, the Commander, 1 Division Internal Security Force, Brigadier General Tagbo Ude, said following intelligence report, a raid was carried out at about 5:30 p.m. at a residential building just behind Dalet Barrackswhich houses the headquarters of 1 Division in Kaduna, North-West Nigeria.

He named and shamed the guilty politician, saying: “Six AK 47 assault rifles and some ammunition and bomb making devices were found following a raid by Nigerian troops on the home ofa serving politician, Hussain Dei Dei, near Dalet Barracks in the Kawo area of Kaduna city.”

Brigadier General Ude also revealed thattwo men, two women and five children were arrested during the operation.

Apart from six AK 47 assault rifles the following items were also recovered during the raid:
*One Light Machine Gun.
*One Teargas Launcher.
*Twenty-Seven loaded and 17 empty AK 47 magazines.
*One FN Rifle Magazine.
*Five Sub-Machine Gun Magazines.
*Four Pistols Magazines.
*One loaded Light-Machine Gun Magazine.
*Two Hundred and Seventy-Five rounds of 7.62 mm (NATO Ammunition).
*765 Rounds of 7.62 mm Special Ammunition.
*58 Rounds of 9mm Ammunition.
*One Hundred and Twenty Five pieces of Detonator-33.
*Two Reels of Detonating Cords.
*Nine Small Cans of Prepared Improvised Explosive Device (IED).
*One Paint Can of Prepared Improvised Explosive Device (IED), which can bring down the entire 1 Division Headquarters if detonated.
*Nine pieces of 9-Volt Batteries.
*Three Bags of White Chemical substance.
*Five Pieces of Remote Control Switches.
*One Reel of Firing Cable.
*Six Pieces of Assorted Car Plate Numbers.

Brigadier General Ude disclosed that some of the items were discovered in the compound while the others were discovered inside the house.

“As usual, our normal process of demolition is in progress, but we are taking out time because we want to make sure the general area is safe before we demolish the house in question because of our discovery on Tuesday,” he said.

“We would like to seize this opportunity to solicit for more information about these terrorists and to assure you that every information received will be treated with absolute confidentiality. Once more, let me assure the good peoples of Kaduna State in particular and Nigerians that the Nigerian Army in collaboration with other Security Agencies, will not relent on its efforts at ensuring the safety of lives and properties of the good citizens of our dear nation are secured,” Brigadier General Ude added.

He urged members of the public to cooperate with the army to fish out terror cells in Kaduna, assuring that the army has commenced investigation into the incident.
Brigadier General Ude disclosed that the army arrested everyone in the house at the time of the raid including the children because that is the procedure as “we cannot arrest the mother and leave the children, who will take care of the children.”
