Senator Dino Melaye (SDM) turned 47 years of age on Friday, January 1, 2021.

To mark his birthday, the Kogi State-born former lawmaker on Thursday went on his Instagram page and published recharge cards from different telecom providers as birthday gifts to the lucky ones among his 1.9million followers on Instagram.

He published the first set of the recharge cards at noon on the dot as follows:

Glo - 9 cards of 1k each

Airtel - 17 cards of 1k each

MTN - 14 cards of 1k each

9mobile - 10 cards of 1k each.

Those who were fast enough to load were excited and they prayed for him while those who couldn’t load reacted in one of three ways viz: some cried out that their lines had been blocked for trying severally to load, some said SDM was a scam, yet others wished they could load.

Many of those who couldn’t load dropped their bank details pleading with him to extend his birthday largesse to them in cash through bank transfer.

But there was no indication that he responded to any of such requests.
