Popular singer and music producer, Duncan Wene Mighty Okechukwu, simply known as Duncan Mighty, had a tough time with masquerades on New Year day.

A video posted Monday on his Instagram page shows how some big masquerades surrounded him, stylishly asking for money.

About three masquerades, which are considered traditionally to be spirits of the ancestors, recognised the Obio Akpor, Rivers State-born musician immediately he stepped into a Mall on the New Year day.

One of the masquerades shouted “Duncan Mighty in the building!”

As the 37 years old musician brought out money from his back pocket to spray, the black masquerade took off his big wooden mask so he would not miss any money sprayed.

As Mighty kept spraying, another masquerade without a mask stood up, stood before him and claimed it was its own turn to be sprayed.

The father of three who recently accused his wife Vivian of infidelity which he claimed resulted in the birth of their last child Mitchell, captures his encounter with the ancestral spirits thus:

“The ancestor by my right shouted, DUNCAN MIGHTY IN THE BUILDING and unmasked himself. Lol.

“One elderly manchi wey seedon behind say the ekpo don fuk up for that them go bobble am DMX then knack jarule with 500 pump ya jaw. The best part of (it) is that laugh after (the shout of) DUNCAN MIGHTY IN THE BUILDING!”

These modern ancestral spirits are sure in love with money.
