For allegedly dividing the political interest of the Southeast geographical region by defecting to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from PDP, an Onitsha-based political activist, Dr. Boniface Agballah, has predicted political doom for Gov. Dave Umahi of Ebonyi.

While answering questions in Onitsha on Thursday, the medical doctor and chairman of Idemili Leaders of Thought, posited that Umahi did not only betrayed PDP, but he also divided the people of the South-East politically, stating that other ethnic groups and regions would no longer see Igbo as a united people who are ready to win political power at the centre.

He explained that the defection of the Ebonyi State Governor was not predicated on principles and interest of the Igbo who have for long been denied the Presidency of Nigeria, but for selfish interest to fly APC Presidential flag in the 2023.

Agballa noted that the Ebonyi State Governor has always worked against the interest of Igbo right from the time he became Governor. (Daily Independent)
