Gospel music maestro Sammie Okposo
Nigeria’s Gospel music maestro, Sammie Okposo, has revealed what he has up his sleeve for the country’s Independence Day celebration on October 1.
The 49 years old Isoko, Delta State-born singer, performer and music producer hinted some days back that he has concluded plans to drop a new single titled Omeriwo (meaning, “He has done it”) on that historic day.
According to the “Wellu Wellu” exponent who has performed regularly in Africa, Europe and North America, the new song features two other top gospel acts namely Mercy Chinwo and Henrisoul.
Talking about the new single, Okposo whose last album titled The Statement in 2018 was produced by the Grammy-winning Kevin Bond, said: “It’s afrocentric, Kingdom collaboration, groovy. It’s different. The single drops globally on Oct 1, 2020. Get your praise on. Get your dance on.”
