The picture is becoming clearer about why late Nigerian pop diva Goldie resorted to taking drugs, which unfortunately sent her to an early grave last Thursday night.
News Express found a clue while scrutinising Goldie’s Facebook wall named Goldie Harvey.
In “About Goldie” the tragic star who died at 31 let out a secret when she disclosed that she used to be depressed.
Her words: “I don’t analyze myself too much. whenever I try to, I get depressed. don’t ask me why.lol. Having said that, I know I like to listen more than I talk, cannot stand being idle, (drives me nuts!) I’m also a free spirit. VERY FREE SPIRIT.......”
Goldie (real name Susan Oluwabimpe Harvey) was also right in describing herself as an achiever, for she achieved much in her short music career.
The late Ekiti babe who died at Reddington Hospital, Victoria Island, Lagos, a few hours after she arrived from Los Angeles, USA, joined Kennis Music in 2010 and made her debut with the album Gold. Some of her hit songs include You Know It, Jawo Jawo and DTMB (Don’t Touch My Body).
A talented singer and performer, Goldie received 10 awards, among them Exquisite Lady of the Year, Best Female Artiste Award and City People Best Female Artiste of the Year.
