The Nigerian Army has shed more light on the arrest, over the weekend, of suspected terrorists in Kaduna State, North-West Nigeria.

The Assistant Director, Army Public Relations 1 Division, Colonel Sani Usman, said: “On Saturday evening seven suspected terrorists including a woman were intercepted at a military check point in Kagoro.

“They were carrying weapons and IED’s when our men intercepted them at an army check point.”
Usman confirmed that “investigation has commenced into the matter” andassured the general public of safety of lives and property in the state.

The army spokesman could not confirm where the suspects were coming from or their destination but sources said the bombers were coming from the troubled Kano and were heading for Nassarawa State.
