Breaking News: 7 suicide bombers arrested in Kaduna as terrorists behead 3 expatriate doctors in Yobe

Nigerian soldiers on duty in the north-western state of Kaduna this morning apprehended seven suspected suicide bombers even as three expatriate doctors were killed in the north-eastern state of Yobe.

The suspected suicide bombers were arrested in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna, according to the Abuja newspaper LEADERSHIP.It quoted “a competent source” as disclosing “that the bombers were from Kano State and were heading to Nassarawa State.”

Six of the bombers are male while the seventh is a female, the paper said.

In another disturbing report from the violence-racked North, armed men this morning entered a flat occupied by expatriate doctors in Potiskum, Yobe State, and slit their throats.

There were contradictory reports about the victims’ nationalities, with one saying they were South Korean and another that they were Chinese, according to the news agency Associated Press.

Potiskum has seen repeated attacks by the Boko Haram violent Islamist group which recently announced that it was ceasing fire.

No group has yet said it was behind the attack on the doctors, which reportedly happened overnight.
Local officials told the Associated Press that the victims had all worked at the General Hospital in Potiskum and that they routinely travelled through the town without security guards.
