Barely two months to the conduct of governorship election in Ondo state, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has suffered a big blow. Legit.ng reports that the chairman of the party in Ese Odo local government area of Ondo state Samuel Olorunwa Ajayi, has officially tendered his resignation letter to the party and ceased to be a member of APC in the state.

Meanwhile, it waspreviously reported that the deputy speaker of Ondo state House of Assembly, Irioju Ogundeji, and another member of the House, Adewale Williams, were suspended by the leadership of the Assembly. It was reported that both lawmakers were among the nine lawmakers that kicked against impeachment move against deputy governor of the state, Agboola Ajayi.

In another report, it was gathered that 14 members of the state Assembly wanted Ajayi impeached. It was reported that the lawmakers accused the deputy governor of gross misconduct, abuse of office with actions likely to bring down state government, financial recklessness, abandonment of office, official duties and other assignments, the altercation with the state’s commissioner of police.
