Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State has admonished Nigerians to allow love to prevail over hatred, bitterness and prejudice.

Akpabio in his Christmas message described love as the essence of Christmas.

He attributed the infrastructural renaissance in the state to “God’s mercy, benevolence and faithfulness.”

The governor stated that his administration achievements have broken the wall of hatred, bitterness, tribalism and division erected by disgruntled and selfish politicians in the state.

He stressed that the distribution of life-touching infrastructure in different segments of the state had transformed it to a “must visit state to all and sundry”, citing the new Akwa Ibom State International Stadium “The Nest of Champions”, which he noted, hosted three serving African leaders and a cream of world sporting legends in one day at its commissioning last month.

He described the feat as a sign of love, brotherhood and unity which the birth of Jesus Christ, the Saviour of mankind, symbolises and urged Nigerians to imbibe the virtues.
