Nigeria’s leader, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, has been rated the joint sixth richest President in Africa, with an estimated wealth of about $100 million. Converted to the Nigerian currency at the current exchange rate of about 164 naira to one US dollar, this comes to about N16.4 billion.

“Goodluck Jonathan is the President of Nigeria. His net worth is estimated to be around $100 million,” Richest Lifestyle, a US-based website, said in a report entitled ‘Richest African Presidents 2014’.

An academic who lectured at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) in Rivers State, Jonathan is not known to have engaged in any business activities but to have spent all his working life in government service.
