An adorable two-year-old Nigerian girl was brutally kicked to her death in Britain by her mother’s boyfriend for soiling herself.

The devilish thug who committed the heinous crime was been jailed today. Dean Harris, 20, struck Amina Agboola so hard that the toddler he was meant to be looking after was thrown 6ft across a room and her liver tore in two.

A piece of her liver also broke off and went into her bloodstream.

Paramedics described finding her lying “like a rag doll” after he was left alone with the child at her home in Yaxley, near Peterborough.

The girl’s mother Sarah Racqueman, who had been going out with Harris for just five months, had gone out despite social workers warning her that he was dangerous and had a history of violence.

Judge Mark Lucraft said: “The injury inflicted on Amina was similar to the force of a road traffic accident.

“Her liver was forcibly split into two pieces and a piece of her liver went into her bloodstream. Amina never recovered and died the next day.

“The bruises on her body were all recent and it was very likely that were inflicted at the same time as that fatal injury. You are a dangerous young man.”

The judge said a psychologist had noted that Harris had a “social or antisocial behaviour disorder.”

He added: “You have an incapacity to maintain relationship, but are able to start them.

“You lack the ability to take responsibility and an incapacity to experience guilt. You appear callous and unconcerned.”

Harris was found guilty of murder earlier this year and was today jailed for life with a minimum term of 17 years, Cambridgeshire Police said. He has now written to the family confessing to the killing in the hope that they can get ‘closure’.

Speaking afterwards, Amina’s father, Reuben Agboola, said: “I am pleased with the sentence Dean Harris has received today. However the grief feels like it has no end.

“I think about Amina constantly. I still cry every day.

“I go through the motions of living but inside I am somewhere else thinking about my daughter all the time.

“No one understands the pain except those people who are experiencing it. My heart reaches out to every parent on earth who is suffering the loss of a child.”

Racqueman, was acquitted of causing or allowing the death but admitted two other charges of neglect relating to other children.

She was given a suspended sentence earlier this month at Cambridge Crown Court.

The trial heard Amina was found to have had a number of other injuries, including an untreated broken wrist.

Detective Inspector Alan Page said: “This was a horrendous case. There can be no justification for using violence against any child and Harris will have to deal with the consequences of his actions for the rest of his life.”
