The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has released the final list of successful candidates in its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise for the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASC II), with the next stage of the process uploading medical certificates of fitness set to begin Wednesday.

According to a statement issued Monday by the Service’s National Public Relations Officer, Deputy Comptroller of Customs Abdullahi Maiwada, successful candidates have been advised to visit the NCS official website, www.customs.gov.ng, or check selected national newspapers to confirm their status.

Maiwada said candidates would also receive instructions via their registered email addresses and SMS notifications, directing them to log on to update.customs.gov.ng using their National Identification Number (NIN) or registered email to upload a valid Medical Certificate of Fitness from a government-recognised hospital.

The portal for the certificate upload will be activated on Wednesday, 29 July 2026, with candidates given one week from that date to complete the process.

Candidates are also required to update their current state of residence on the portal and formally accept the provisional offer of appointment by clicking the “Accept Offer” button, after which a Trainee Identification Number will be issued within one week.

Further details on documentation and physical screening including dates, venues and requirements will be communicated through official channels, the statement said.

The NCS warned that failure to comply with any requirement or timeline could result in disqualification and forfeiture of the provisional offer.

On behalf of the Nigeria Customs Service Board, the Comptroller-General of Customs congratulated the successful candidates and expressed optimism about welcoming them into the Service. (Daily Sun)
