Tom Edozie’s debut goal four minutes into second-half stoppage time saw Premier League leaders Arsenal drop two valuable points in a dramatic 2-2 draw with bottom club Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Gunners looked set to move seven points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table when Bukayo Saka and Piero Hincapie struck to put them 2-0 up at Molineux.

Saka, who started in a new-look No 10 position and wore the captain's armband following media reports he has agreed a new long-term contract with the Gunners, headed the leaders into an early lead before Hincapie struck in the 56th minute.

However, Hugo Bueno's curler got Wolves back in contention and then, with time ticking away, 19-year-old substitute Edozie saw his shot ricochet in off Riccardo Calafiori.

Arsenal’s lead at the summit is now five points, but their rivals now have a game in hand, and Manchester City would move within two points should they beat Newcastle United on Saturday.

How the match unfolded

Saka needed just five minutes to make an impact in his new position, stooping to nod Declan Rice's inswinging delivery between Jose Sa's legs and in.

Arsenal almost doubled their lead when Sa parried Noni Madueke's effort into the feet of Gabriel Martinelli, but the goalkeeper reacted well to smother the follow-up.

Wolves did not apply any pressure until Andre dragged wide from 25 yards out in first-half stoppage time, but they had the first sight of goal in the second half as Adam Armstrong's strike spun over.

Just as Arsenal appeared to be wobbling, Hincapie took in Gabriel's pass and crashed his shot into the roof of Sa's net. The offside flag initially went up against the Ecuadorian, but after a VAR review, Bueno was found to have played him on.

Bueno atoned only five minutes later, curling a wonderful effort into the top-left corner.

And Mikel Arteta's team could not hold on as, after a weak punch from David Raya, substitute Edozie capped off a memorable comeback. (Premier League)
