It is common knowledge that many people had departed this life because they were too impecunious to procure treatments for their diseases.

In Nigeria, the cost of receiving treatments in our hospitals has risen, astronomically, causing many sick people to seek traditional and unorthodox remedies for their health maladies.

And the traditional method of healing people, which is fraught with dangers, has proved fatal for many people, most times.

So in order to help the ailing poor to receive treatments for their sicknesses, the Eric Nnamdi Anyamene Foundation (ENAF) organized a three-day free medical services for the people living in Idemili North and South LGAs.

The free medical services for the people of Idemili North and South LGAs in Anambra state took place at the Obosi Primary Health Care Center, Afor Adike, Obosi, Anambra state between December 27 and December 29, 2025.

During the period of the free medical treatment for the ailing poor, people suffering from different diseases, who visited the centre, received treatments.

Among those who visited the Primary Health Care center, Afor Adike, Obosi for the free medical treatment was Hon. Edwin Obi, who is the president of the Mmakwum’s branch of the Obosi Development Union (ODU).

He was diagnosed as having malaria and eye problem, for which he was given the recommended and needed treatment.

“I came for medical examination here. And I was diagnosed with malaria and eye problem.

“And I was given free treatment for my malaria; and contact lenses that would correct my eye problem.

“So I am thankful and grateful to the Eric Nnamdi Anyamene Foundation for offering us free medical treatment.

“My prayer is that Engr. Eric Anyamene’s pot of oil will not run dry,” Obi said.

Again, one of the doctors hired to render free medical treatments to the ailing people of Idemili North and South LGAs, Dr. Chinekwu Anyaoku, stated that the medical team at the Obosi Primary Health Care Center did everything within its power to ensure that those, who turned out for the medical screening, were given treatment.

He, also, expressed happiness at the impressive turn-out of ailing people during the exercise.

“I will not fail to say that people are interested in this free medical exercise. People turned out in great numbers for this exercise.

“And we made effort to treat all the people, who came here for treatment.

“My prayer is that God shall continue to bless Engr. Eric Anyamene because he is giving back to society.

More so, in his own remarks, Chief Onyedika Muonagor (Osojieze Obosi), who is the chairman of all the Primary Health Centres in Obosi, expressed thankfulness to ENAS for the execution of the free healthcare programme, the aim of which was to restore good health to sick people.
