The Catholic Archbishop of Lagos State, Most Revd. Alfred Adewale Martins at the weekend celebrated the immediate past president of International Market Association Electronics (IMAE), Evangelist Paulinus Ugochukwu, who just turned 50 years.

Speaking at the Thanksgiving Mass for the golden Jubilee birthday celebration of Evangelist Ugochukwu at Holy Family Catholic Church Festac Town, Lagos Archdiocese, the Archbishop who was represented by Rev. Kingsley Oyeweyemi said that Evangelist Ugochukwu who is the owner of Sound Prince brand of musical equipment has demonstrated that it is not really how long one had lived on earth but rather how well.

According to him, Evangelist Ugochukwu has impacted positively on the lives of human beings as well as the country within a very young age.

He said that apart from producing musical equipment, he has also produced hundreds of millionaires in the country.

Furthermore, he described Ugochukwu as somebody who rose to wealth through humility, focus, dedication, determination and fear of God.

His words, “As we have gathered today to celebrate the golden jubilee of Evangelist Paulinus Ugochukwu, we must not lose sight of the fact that it is the power of commitment and dedication that has transformed him from an ordinary man to an extra ordinary man. God has raised him to the pinnacle of business and leadership because he is a product of humility, integrity and God fearing. When you lift God up, he would bring you up and that is what has happened to Evangelist Ugochukwu. He always put God first in whatever he is doing and God in turn is also raising him up. So as we are celebrating his 50^th birthday today, we pray that God will spare his life so that he will continue to celebrate in good health and happiness.”

In his response, Evangelist Ugochukwu who was overwhelmed by the turn out of people who came to celebrate with him expressed his gratitude to God for his goodness in his life.

He said that as far as he is concerned, the greatest achievement anybody could make on earth is the service that he renders to his fellow man.

According to him, that was why he decided to be empowering people with the blessing he is receiving from God, adding that he had by the grace of God been of help a lot of people both in their businesses and personal lives.

“Judging from the number of people that I am seeing here, I can proudly say that a lot of people love me because it is not easy to pull such a crowd. I deeply appreciate what God has done in my life. I was born into an idolatry family. My father was the chief priest of my town for more than 25 years. Before my encounter with Jesus Christ, I was worshipping Idol with my father, but in 1995, my father died and I was converted to Christianity after encountering Jesus Christ. My father started serving the idol at the age of 25 but he died at 54 years. I love God so much but before I became 25 years, I already had an encounter. I didn’t have access to the word of God. So when I had the encounter with God, He instructed that I should serve Him and He would bless me. In the beginning, it was so tough, with a lot of persecution but I was able to surmount the challenges and survived. Today I can happily say that a lot of people have had their lives and finances transformed through me. So I give God all the glory.”

In his contribution, the president of International Market Association Electronics, Ojo Alaba, Chief Camilus Amajuoji described Evangelist Ugochukwu as a very wonderful leader.

Amajuoyi who is also the president general of Alaba Amalgamated Association council of sectional heads said that when Ugochukwu was the president of International Market Association Electronics, he brought a lot of transformations.

He said that It was because of the good works that Ugochukwu did while in office that a lot of Alaba International traders came in their numbers to celebrate with him.

He prayed that God should give him many more years of good health, happiness and wealth.

“The traders in Alaba International are here in our numbers to celebrate the 50 years birthday of Evangelist Paulinus Ugochukwu popularly known as Sound Prince. When he was the president of International Market Association Electronics, I was the vice chairman, so I took over from him and I can say that he is a very good leader. When he was in office, he brought a lot of transformation and also laid a lot of foundation which I am working on now. You know government is continuum so I a continued from where he stopped. The mantra of my administration is The New Face of Alaba and some of the road maps that he laid has it very to achieve the objective sooner than later. So I am happy for him. He is my leader and I pray that God almighty will continue to lead, guide and protect him. I, the president general of Alaba International Amalgamated Council of Sectional heads, on behalf of all the traders in Alaba International Market Ojo Alaba are wishing him many more years of good health and happiness.”
