The last days of the late Nigerian President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua were marked by protests about his absence from the country and his health. Yar’Adua was born August 16, 1951.

Of Prof. Max Planck and Prof. Tunde Bajah: Uncanny coincidences between Germany and Western Nigeria

Max Planck, at one time recognised as head of German Science, was a Physicist born on April 23, 1858 in Kiel, Duchy of Holstein. Sam Tunde Bajah was honoured for his distinguished service to science education worldwide, was a Chemist born April 24, 1934 in Warri, Delta State.

Bajah passed away on February 23, 2008, three days to the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science.

Planck retired from the University of Berlin. Berlin is the political capital of Germany as well as the cultural capital and largest city. Berlin is six letters and Germany seven letters

Bajah retired from the University of Ibadan, the political capital of western Nigeria as well as the former cultural capital of Nigeria and the largest city. Ibadan is six letters and Nigeria is made up of seven letters.

In Berlin is the German Institute of Economic Research and in Ibadan the Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic Research.
