Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has denied that the state government was not in any way involved in the setting up of Fulani Vigilante Group recently constituted in the State.

This, the Governor said if it was from the government, a bill to that effect would have been sent to the State Assembly for consideration.

The Governor who made this assertion on Monday while playing host to members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly led by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau to salute him over the Supreme Court victory.

Governor Sule added that his administration would continue to promote peace in the State stressing that the security agencies are already investigating the issue of the Fulani Vigilante.

“We refused to be part of it because it was purely issues of the security agencies.

“The state government did not recognized Fulani Vigilante just like any other vigilante groups in the state.

“As far as we are concerned, there is only one vigilante group recognized by the Federal Government which we also recognized in the state,” the Governor reacted.
