The crisis in the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF) deepened last night with Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State insisting that he had won a second term contrary to the claims of victory by Governor David Jang of Plateau State and 18 other governors who say they voted for him.

News Express last night published the Resolution of the 19 governors (Jang making it 19) who say Jang is the new NGF Chairman. Amaechi has however countered with a statement in which he extended the olive branch to President Goodluck Jonathan, who is believed to be the unseen hand behind his travails.
