John F. Kennedy (JFK) and John K. Fayemi (JKF) are both Catholics.

The both studied in London – JFK at the London School of Economics and JKF at the Kings College London.
JFK was into civil rights activism and JKF into human rights activism.

JFK fought in the Second World War while JKF is an expert in War Studies (he has a Ph.D in War Studies).

Both occupied political office in their various countries: While JFK served as President of the United States, JKF is presently Governor of Ekiti State, Nigeria. Is JKF also a future President? Only time will tell!

Seafaring, UK and Nigeria: Robert Louis Stevenson, Muyiwa Awe and Wole Soyinka

The Scottish Novelist Robert Louis Stevenson created the character, Long John Silver, the major antagonist in his novel, Treasure Island, a book about pirates. Stevenson was born on November 13, 1860. November 13, 1932 saw the birth of Muyiwa Awe, now Pastor and Professor who took the name, Long John Silver as a member of the much talked about Pyrates Confraternity (also known as the National Association of Sea Dogs) at the University of Ibadan.

Furthermore, in British Naval History we come across Captain Cook who won the Copley Medal for Nautical Medicine for safety of the sailors on the sea. He became the Commander of the British Ship, Resolution, and left the English waters on July 13, 1772.

Relatedly, we have Professor Wole Soyinka who was Captain Blood in the Pyrates Confraternity. Winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, Soyinka served as Chairman Federal Road Safety Corps and was conferred with the National honour of Commander of the Federal Republic (CFR) which he later on disowned. He was born July 13, 1934.
