The argument's of the officers of the FIRS on VAT collections hold no water because port users pay for port services, multiple charges for that matter. The VAT is the only benefit accruing to the States where such ports are situated. So VAT should not be a federally collectible but state revenue. Federal government should make do with Company Income Tax revenue. VAT means Value Added Tax so the argument is where did they stay to add the value. It is the environment created by the state that made such added value possible.

State laws are mini federal laws and as such, must be enforced by police run by federal govt since d states do not run d police and do not have anything in place of that that is as active as d federal police in d states.
