Some Nigerians are good at damaging the reputations of Nigeria. This is not good for us.

I don't think the Guy or the writer of this post us telling us the truth. For this guy to even start studying in PhD level. He will automatically become a lecturing assistance to assist undergraduate students in faculty of Maths. Such will fetch him some reasonable money to take care of himself. Upon graduation the faculty will keep him as a contract staff to continue lecturing undergraduate students on contract or part base . I don't know if this system works in Nigeria Universities but in South Africa University where I graduated from such opportunity is extended to all PhD students including international students. Many Nigeians use the money obtained to get married, take care of loved ones and even start building or take up a project or even japa from South Africa to Europe and America. I will encourage him to Google University of Johannesburg to go start a new PhD and scholarship will be granted to him. With part time lecturing especially with qualification in Matt's that's a big deal

The story seem contradictory because at a point he said he didn't want to be a lecturer and the power of life and death is on the tongue. Again, with a Ph. D in Mathematics there are several schools and universities that may need his service. I believe strongly that he does not want to leave his comfort zone. An evaluation of his mental health is necessary. A few mathematicians don't think outside of the classroom. For instance, what was Professor Choke Obi of blessed memory doing n a Nigerian University. Paul should look outside of Ebonyi State University and pursue a career in information technology and outside of Nigeria. If he were Northern, would he be seeking employment?
