Free Capt. JB Last month 27th October, you published a news about the conviction of a Nigerian pilot Jibril Adamu, in the USA, charged with conspiracy to traffic cocaine with a private jet with his US counterpart, Jean Claude Okongo Ladji. The news had it that, on Monday, the 25th of October, 2021, both of them were found guilty of one-count charge of conspiring to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute a cocaine. However, substantive evidence presented by the defense counsel of Capt. Adamu culminated in the eventually one-count charge out of 4 charges. Following this, Adamu coercion was subtly used in order for Adamu to admit of his committing the crime, with the promise that his admitting that he committed the crime would set him free. In a said recorded meeting, Ladji agreed to traffic cocaine by aircraft, with Adamu , who had earlier warned against Ladji’s decision, hinting at the fact of the seeming impossibility of escaping detection by a US law enforcement agency, as reported in the ‘New Telegraph’ of…. Hence his eventual resolve for conspiracy could be a consequence of pasturing which signaled the likelihood of losing his means of livelihood. Captain Jibril Adamu is my elder brother. He is one person who I know gives premium to ethical and moral issues, although I may not be able to vouch for his assertiveness in the matter, which is a question of many factors along the lines of personality type and preferences. However, the contents of the news painted an opposite of whom Captain JB {as fondly called by friends} is, JB is a trusted, disciplined, honest, dedicated true workhorse guided by professionalism, he is a true icon that represents who a real Nigerian is, a man enwrapped with the fear of God and man. Apparently, the defamation of character which has followed on account of this unsavory situation betrays the morals and conscience which I know often guided his actions. The records of everything that transpired are with him and all that is required, is a sincere, thorough and holistic review of this matter. His belief that he was not a conspirator of his own volition prompted him to report the case to the Nigerian Embassy in Croatia and in the United States, but there has been no positive response from them. It is against this backdrop that it becomes pertinent to chart a course towards redress. But the termination of such may end as soon as it begins when appeal for spport is not sought from the governmental and non-governmental organizations as well as individuals who value enough the body of Nigerian pilots that is a of pride to my brother as an aeronautic engineer. Like the saying goes,” Justice delayed is justice denied”, this matter has lingered for over 3 years now. Sincerely, if this not miscarriage of justice, then nothing could. On this note, I wish to appeal with the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, The CJN, The Presidency, The Nigerian Senate, The Nigerian Pilots Association and well-meaning Nigerians to intervene in the matter to salvage my brother Capt. Jibril Adamu. We the entire family firmly trust the personality of Captain JB and believe Allahu SWT will not forsake his truthful servants. Engr. Abdullahi Adamu For: The family #FreeCaptJB

Well both claim and burst are political. Unless you have political ambition you shouldn't join issues with politicians. The measure of their worth is not in what they say but in what they do when they assume offices. You have genuine basis for your argument, he too may have genuine basis for his claims, so let's leave it at that and pray that a LEADER emerges governor of Anambra state. It might interest you to know that the only governor Anambra state ever had to date remains Peter Obi. We need somebody of his ilk.

Wait are you saying that because the commissioner of police had apologize to the people that they in one way non the other done one or two things to to just go like that. Is like something is wrong with somebody. Let them tell that man what they can offer and if the man agrees then fine. Mad people.

Raymond Dokpesi by his statement against the president of Igbo extraction, has only exhibited the attribute of an educated illiterate. I wonder why he did descend so low after watching helplessly the carnage that is going on in his Nigeria. When they wanted to strip off from him, the ownership of AIT, the Igbos stood by him. His TV has been getting a lot patronages from the Igbos. Does he want us to withdraw such demands? I think that will serve him for not being circumspect in his careless inuendo Probably, he was reacting to his inability to win PDP Chairmanship which Seconds won. But his failure was not caused by Igbos. Or is it because he feels that the absence of Igbos will water his chances of being the President of warped Nigeria? May be because he has benefited much in the Nigerian project and so would not want anything that may tamper with her existence so that he will continue to enrich himself. But he has failed because more than ever before Igbos are resolute with other right thinking southerners who have seen the deceit that beclouded them over the years now want to pull out the shackles of the blinder. Dokpesi Raymond should should wake up from his slumber before it is too late. Emeka Uzowuru.

Good development and professional advise from NEC The only thing missing there is that they suppose to advise police institution to either employ a police psychologist who will carry out the above psychological test in every police command or engage police psychologists as a consultant. It is the work of police psychologist to carry out pre employment screening and fit for duty evaluation. Very unfortunate that Nigerian police and other security agencies in Nigeria can not boost of having two or three police psychologists in their commands.
