Until we can find
Or develop men and women of characters, competencies and intellectual capitals with courage to connect our people's needs to Budgets in our political space
We have not started.
Our problem is not Presidential, parliamentary etc.
It's not working in Nigeria but these systems are working in every other places, is instructive that we have missed the importance of having monthly public accountability from our political leaders and institutions.
We give monthly allocations to Governors, and we don't sit them down monthly to develop with them how these huge funds are realised in public needs Budgets and timelines, and the funds are mostly stolen and we blame Presidential system.
In particular we should have 6 responsible independent Regionalism to check laziness parasitism and idleness, with every region controlling its mineral and manpower resources.

Though the students bullying
of the student should not be encouraged. But nobody is talking about what led to the mass beating.
I heard that the student in question was fund of smoking and bringing Indian hemp to the school premises.
The report should be comprehensive.

I hope that beyond mere suspension, the authorities will ensure that the Students are thoroughly investigated and prosecuted. The school management should also be seriously queried Appropriate
punishment should be meted to anyone found wanting and the sanctions should be made public to serve as a deterrent to others both in the school and elsewhere

How does the new minimum wage affect pensions. Or should pensioners be told to go and be managing the old rate.

So our President did not raise the issue of terrorism by Islamist Boko haram and Lukarawa in Northern Nigeria?
Or were they tacitly endorsed by that summit?

This is very true.
Nigeria benefited woes rather than blessings by hosting and celebrating African gods to despise the Almighty God who is the creator of the universe. He gave us abundant wealth so much that our leaders lavishly glorified man-made images and demons instead of praising/thanking the giver of life and wealth. Nigeria had "too much money" then but lacked wisdom to invest on things that could benefit her people.
God is indeed angry with Nigeria and has been using wicked leaders to divided her people, steal and export her wealth to foreign nations for selfish interests.
Unless we beg God for forgiveness and condem the atrocities of the past leaders, Nigeria will continue to move in circles of bad governance, poverty and hopelessness as we currently witness.

The Suspension is not yet punishment. I think I it was put in place to enable thorough investigation. Their acts is barbaric to say the least. Stiff penalties should and must be metted out to them. What if the young man had died? Hmmm.

Unless there will be additional punishment, the suspension ordered is grossly inadequate. The students should be handed over to the police for discreet investigations and possible prosecution. This will serve as a deterrent to others who may be tempted to adopt this ignoble attitude in future, please.

Suspension not enough. I watched the video. And I am still in shock. The students should be arrested and prosecuted. The Principal should be queried. And the parents of the victim should sue the students, the school and its Management.

While I agree with you over the fallen standard of education in Nigeria, I totally disagree with you in the issue of Ph.D student not being able to write his name. A ph.D student who can't write his name properly shouldn't be coming from the South South or South East. It's quite impossible to say a thing like that of a Ph.D holder except the name was not spelt according to how you know it. Some names are like that.

With the growing hardship, teachers need to be carefully treated. in State like Imo where there is yet to be a single teachers recruitment since 2015, there stands a huge gap in learning.
most Secondary schools in Imo state have about 5 to 8 teachers to handle a a huge population. some teachers teach more than two subjects just to cover up.
so the work load is also too much on teachers to be efficient and effective.

We thank God for the miraculous ex?cape from the kidnappers den. Abraka has become a home of kidnappers and the security forces are doing nothing about it. No police DPO should exceed 2 years anywhere. Kidnappings in Abraka has been there since 3 years unabated and the police don't report Abraka kidnappings. It is a shame. These cartels must be exposed.
