Traditional Rulers in Owerri Zone have passed vote of confidence on the Chief of Staff, Government House and Commissioner for Special Duties in Imo State, Sir Jude Ejiogu, describing him as a worthy son of the zone.

They did this on Sunday when the monarchs, led by the Chairman, Owerri Zone Council of Ndi-Eze, HRH Eze Chidume Okoro, paid a surprise visit to the Chief of Staff in his country home, Umuakuru Emekuku, Owerri North LGA.

In his speech, HRH Eze Okoro said that some of the monarchs who believed in the achievements of the rescue mission government under Governor Okorocha in the last four years and stood firm for his re-election would have been rusticated from their various kingdoms if not by the efforts of Sir Ejiogu, which, he said, necessitated the victory of Governor Okorocha in Owerri Zone.

He maintained that Sir Ejiogu has proved himself as a selfless leader who believes in the development of the state at large, and commended Governor Okorocha for identifying him in his government, expressing optimism that Owerri Zone under the leadership of the Chief of Staff would regain its lost glory as caused by previous administrations in the state.

Eze Okoro, who is also the Deputy Chairman of Imo State Council of Ndi-Eze for Owerri Zone, further thanked the people of Owerri Federal Constituency for standing behind their amiable son, Sir Ejiogu as well as the re-election of Governor Okorocha during the just concluded 2015 governorship poll, advising them to continue to sustain the tempo.

He described the current government in the state as a special gift from God, assuring the rescue mission administration of their readiness to continue support all its relevant programmes that aimed at improving the living standard of the people of the state in their respective communities.

Speaking, Sir Ejiogu expressed happiness for the surprise visit and commended the traditional rulers for working very hard in their various areas, which according to him necessitated the victory of Governor Rochas Okorocha in the zone.

He promised that the government would consolidate the giant strides of the administration, pointing out that everything possible to upgrade the well-being of Imo citizens would not be treated with levity, and thanked them for the massive support during the election.

Meanwhile, traditional rulers of Onuimo local government have commended the efforts of the Chief of Staff in the areas of research and strategy during the 2015 election, describing it as a movement that gave rise for the victory of Governor Okorocha in the rural communities.

In an address presented by the leader of the delegation and Chairman, Onuimo LGA council of Ndi-Eze, HRH Eze E.I.G Anyabuike, described Sir Ejiogu as the manager of men whose exemplary style of leadership ensured the train of the rescue mission of His Excellency to remain strong.

It reads: “As a manager of men, you have through your exemplary style of leadership ensured that the train of the rescue mission of His Excellency continues unquenched and successes earned during the election were not dashed.

“The Onuimo Council of Ndi-Eze will continue to support the administration of His Excellency and will ensure that it continues to succeed in the second tenure.”

The monarchs therefore called on the good people of the state to continue to remember the present administration under Governor Okorocha in prayers to enable him realise more beyond the achievements of his first tenure.
