Automobile market in Nigeria is gradually taking another dimension with Innoson Motors striving to take over the market from other imported (foreign) vehicles.

Įnnoson motors is the only wholly owned indigenous auto manufacturing company in Nigeria, located at the heart of south East (Nnewi Anambra State). This manufacturing company is owned and managed by Chief Innocent Chukwuma.

Chief Chukwuma founded this company in 2007 with special interest in producing cars but over the years IVM motor has gained relevance and venture into oroducing buses, (18 seaters, 32 seaters) as well as luxurious buses.

The company’s success story started in 2007 when it opened its plant at Nnewi, the it was said that the,  they barely have buyers, this was because nobody wanted to buy untested and new brand due to fear of unknown.

Now  the company was able to overcome that hurdle and survive competition with many other well known vehicles in Nigeria already by:

1. Production of quality vehicles.

Innoson motors being a new brand that is still striving to survive among other big wing vehicles like Toyota and Mercedes products, adopted the approach of producing quality vehicles. This made people to gain trust and interest in their cars, these days we hear of government placing order for over 500 IVM for security agencies and other government sectors.

2. Advanced marketing (creating awareness)

Over the years this Innoson Motors has paid special interest in advertising their products, this contributes massively to their success story. Currently Innoson Vehicles are been used in many African countries like Mali, Ghana and Benin Republic.

With these  and many other strategic they have adopted over the years,  you cannot stand for 20mins in any high way in Nigeria today without spotting 2 to 3 I.V.M.  (New Telegraph)
