The 2015 general elections have been postponed by six weeks, according to reports coming in from Abuja, the Nigerian capital.
Presidential and National Assembly polls were originally scheduled to hold on February 14 and governorship elections on 28.
However, poor preparations by INEC have dogged the polls.
The decision to shift the polls was taken during a meeting between INEC and the 28 political parties in Abuja.
An official announcement by INEC is still being awaited.
