The Twitter account of Nigeria’s former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has been suspended.
When News Express checked the account, @segunobasanjo, this afternoon, it saw the following message: “Sorry, that user is suspended.”
It is not clear why the account was suspended, but a source said concerned people at The Presidency might have reported Obasanjo to Twitter on account of his uncomplimentary tweets about President Goodluck Jonathan and his administration.
The source noted that Obasanjo busied himself yesterday with anti-Jonathan tweets, including prediction that retired General Muhammadu Buhari would beat the President in the February 14 presidential ballot.
