Senate President, David Mark has stated that among the 14 men and women seeking the vote of Nigerians in the February 14 presidential election, the incumbent, Dr. Goodluck “Jonathan remains the best that can move the nation forward.”

The Senate President made this declaration yesterday during the zonal campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held in Otukpo, Benue State. He highlighted PDP’s achievements since 1999 and urged the people to back the party up by voting all candidates of PDP in the forthcoming elections.

Speaking in a similar vein, Benue State Governor Gabriel Suswam urged people of the state to come en masse and vote for President Jonathan as well as all candidates of PDP during the forthcoming elections. The governor alleged that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammed Buhari (rtd.), represents the insurgent group Boko Haram.

In his speech, Minister of Interior, Hon. Abba Moro, also made a strong case for the re-election of President Jonathan. He emphasised the success of the transformation agenda of the President, appealing to people of the state and the entire nation to vote massively to re-elect him as President.
