The new Commissioner of Police Ogun State Police Command, CP Kenneth Ebrimson, has warned criminals in the state, especially armed robbers and kidnapers as well as ritualists to stay clear of the state or meet their waterloo.

Less than 24 hours after he took over the state command on Wednesday,  three notorious suspected armed robbers who had been dispossessing commuters of their valuables on the long bridge along Lagos-Ibadan expressway were apprehended.

CP Ebrimson gave the warning in his maiden address to the officers and men of the command. He reiterated his commitment to fight crime and criminality to a standstill in state. He warned that he was “ready for criminals in the state because the good people of the state deserves to be sleeping with their two eyes closed.”

He warned further that, he is not oblivious of the fact that the state is the host of several religious headquarters such the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Celestial Church of God, NASFAT and Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries. He noted that it implies that there will be time there would be influx of worshippers into the State for different religious activities.

Ebrimson also warned all Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and Area Commanders and other senior officers of tactical units to go all out and smoke criminals out of their hideouts.

He also assured law abiding citizens of the state of their safety. He however, urged them to partner with the police by providing useful information against criminals, because security he said is everybody’s business. (Saturday Independent)
