Another mishap was recorded in the commercial city of Onitsha, Anambra State, today, on Monday, October 21, 2019 as a container fell down from an articulated vehicle, leaving two people injured.

This came five and four days after two tankers fell in the area on Wednesday and Thursday, leaving about eleven people dead and several people’s means of livelihood destroyed as so many shops got burnt in the inferno.

Today’s accident happened along Owerri Road in the Upper Iweka area of the city, with the cause not yet ascertained as of the time of filing this report.

The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the incident but said no life was lost. He said that a female passerby sustained injury and was taken to the hospital with another individual that also sustained injury.

Mohammed added that the victims were responding to treatment.
