President of the Senate, Senator David Mark yesterday canvassed for a smooth electoral process that would make the 2015 general elections most credible and acceptable by all parties.

In a press statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary Paul Mumeh, Mark said the electoral process should be anchored on rule of law and the will of the people rather than resort to violence or coercion.

He told his constituents in his Otukpo, Benue State country home ahead of Saturday’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Assembly primaries that elections should be guided by rules and acceptable international best practices.

Mark cautioned against desperation by political office seekers, reminding them that election is like a game that must produce a winner and loser.
