Management and staff of Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have commenced fervent prayers for the quick recovery of their Commandant General, Dr. Ade Abolurin, from the injuries he sustained recently in a domestic accident.

PRNigeria quotes spokesperson of NSCDC, Emmanuel Okeh, as confirming that officers and men of the NSCDC have organised a prayer session for the quick recovery of their boss.

“He is on medical leave, following a domestic accident. We thank God he is responding to the treatment,” Okeh reportedly said on phone

The Commandant General was said to have been admitted in a hospital but is recovering fast and may soon return to his desk.

Abolurin is credited to have turned NSCDC into a world-class institution in terms of efficiency and performance including winning multiple laurels for Nigeria at international sports competitions like the Olympics and others.

The NSCDC has within the period build three training institutions including the Civil Defence College of Security Management, Ogun State, Civil Defence Academy, Abuja and College of Peace and Disaster Management, Katsina.

“He is highly regarded by the rank and file of the Corps for his open-door policy and inter-personal relationship, apart from repositioning the Corps,” a source close to NSCDC says.

The source describes Dr. Abolurin as epitomising of frugality, focus, patriotism, sense of mission and above all, honesty and prudence in the management of public funds. This man deserves to be promoted as an exemplary public officer because his conduct and approach to governance are sufficiently impressive enough and therefore worthy of recommendation to others.
