The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has lost one of its Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs).
He is Alhaji Abba Yusuf, the REC for Taraba State.
“Alhaji Abba Yusuf died in Maiduguri this evening,” a close source told News Express on Saturday night.
The source disclosed that the late REC died “at around 8pm”.
On the cause of death, the source disclosed that Abba Yusuf “died after a protracted illness”. The late REC Abba Yusuf is survived by many children.
