Fans mourn as Mad Melon of Danfo Drivers fame dies after brief illness

Since the sad news of the death of Omeofa Oghene, popularly known as Mad Melon was broken on Tuesday, music lovers in the country have been mourning the loss.

The velvet-toned singer of the Danfo Drivers fame is said to have died at a hospital in Ajegunle area of Lagos after a brief illness on Sunday, September 25, 2019.

Many celebrities and fans have taken to the social media to express deep loss for the Delta State born singer and performer.

Veteran music idol Daddy Showkey was the first to post on his Instagram page in utter surprise:

“Can somebody tell me that is not true that we just lost Mad Melon Danfo Driver pls.”
