National Network Newspaper unveils activities marking 15th anniversary celebration

As countdown to the 15th anniversary celebration of National Network group of newspapers begins, the management of the organisation says arrangements are in top gear to have a successful and memorable celebration.

A programme of activities released by the 15th Anniversary Organizing Committee said the celebration proper will hold on Friday, October 4, 2019 in Port Harcourt.  

The statement signed by the Chairman of the 15th Anniversary Organizing Committee, Mr. Ken Asinobi, said the newspaper shall, during the event confer awards on some deserving personalities, groups, corporate bodies and institutions because of their indelible contributions to the development of Rivers State and humanity.

He said the weeklong ceremony would also feature public lecture that would be delivered by a renowned Economist and Director of the University of Port Harcourt Business School, Professor Okey Onuchukwu.

The 15th Anniversary Organizing Committee Chairman said there would also be visit to charity homes and dinner night, adding that the epochal event would culminate on Saturday, October 5, 2019 with a Thanksgiving Service in Port Harcourt.

Other special attractions slated for the event are variety show and drama presentation.

On why National Network group of newspapers is celebrating, Mr. Asinobi said Wednesday: “We deem it necessary to celebrate, considering that what started as a concept and birthed on October 1, 2004, has today grown to become a formidable brand that has consistently served the reading public, not just in Rivers State and Niger Delta but also worldwide, thanks to our robust website:”

He stated that already, the management and Editorial Board of the newspaper have commenced sensitisation visits to individuals, groups and organisations to ensure a memorable 15th Anniversary Celebration of National Network come October 4, 2019.
